Frequently asked questions
How to find a plumber near me?
This is one of the most common questions on Google, fortunately if you're in or near Bristol and reading this you've already found us, but for anyone seeing this outside of our working area you need to keep searching.
How much does it cost to hire a good, reliable plumber?
The answer to this question can vary depending on the size of the business and type of company you're looking to deal with. Some smaller "one man band" businesses may charge less than a larger company with overheads, VAT etc.
Do I have to get my boiler serviced every year?
The short answer would be yes.
Can I do my own plumbing on my house?
Yes you can, if it's your own home and not a rental you can do what ever you like to the plumbing system in your home. You cannot however install gas appliances or alter gas pipework.
How can I remodel my bathroom on a budget?
This really depends on the extremeties of the remodelling of your bathroom. Are you simply wanting to replace the items in there, such as the bath, toilet and basin. Or do you want to move them around the room, replace the tiles, maybe even install new lighting?
FINDING A PLUMBER
Finding a plumber can be a stressful and long process if you don't know where to look.
There are soo many companies out there and so many ways to advertise a job or search for the right person to do the job you're looking for.
Finding a plumber needn't be hard, simply use the tips we suggest in the following article when looking for any tradesperson and you'll be on the right track.
WHAT'S A PLUMBERS HOURLY RATE?
It's always good to know how much you're going to pay for something before you buy it.
Our plumber hourly rate is simple, we charge £55 for the first hour, then £40 per hour, or £20 per half hour. So for example if we were to do a job that took 1hr 20 mins it would cost £75. If a job took 1hr 40 mins its would cost £95.
Our price structure can also be found on our terms and conditions linked below.
HOW TO POWER FLUSH YOUR CENTRAL HEATING SYSTEM
We use something called an Adey MagnaCleanse to power flush a central heating system.
It is effective and quick, it utilises your boilers pump to flush the cleaning solution around your central heating system, one radiator at a time and then collects the magnetite in it's cylindrical tubes with an industrial magnet.
To power flush your central heating system you need to use the right cleaning solution, go through each radiator individually and flush he system through thoroughly before adding inhibitor in, to prevent a build up in the future.
